Our Vision

To make a difference in the lives of people and animals.

Our Mission

The PIBA Foundation is committed to assisting and advocating for the well-being of people and animals through disaster relief, community engagement, and environmental quality.

Who we are

Established in September 2019, we are an organization operated primarily by women. We are women from all walks of life who work full-time jobs and have a passion to volunteer and make a difference in our community. The women that volunteer consists of business owners, mothers, daughters, students, wives, and veterans.

Who is Piba?

Piba, pronounced Pea-Buh, was the name of Alexandra's first childhood dog. She named the foundation after her as a tribute and turned it into an acronym, People Inspired by All. Now, Piba's legacy will always live on through the passion and dedication of our volunteers!

Meet Our Team

Alexandra Wright

Founder | CEO

I am the Founder and CEO of The PIBA Foundation. I have been actively involved in non-profit animal rescue and disaster relief work for the last three years and hold a BS in Business Administration from St. Petersburg College.

I decided it was time to start my own non-profit when I realized that I no longer wanted to be limited to helping one specific cause. I presented the idea to Angel and we both jumped on board quickly and founded The PIBA Foundation, named after my first childhood dog. Now, PIBA embodies a group of empowered women who want to make a difference in our communities.

I am the Co-founder and President of The PIBA Foundation. I am a former Marine and have always had a strong love and attraction to animals, which is why I started my own dog training business called BARK Dog Training.

I live in Summerfield, FL with my husband, two daughters, 12 dogs, and a mini pig.

Robert Wright

As CFO I am responsible for all of the company’s financial functions including accounting, audit, treasury, corporate finance and investor relations. My career spans more than 15 years of varied financial experience in engineering and banking. Before joining The PIBA Foundation in October 2019, I currently work as a project analyst for a large engineering firm and previously worked for a successful local bank as a credit analyst. I earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of West Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Business from St. Petersburg College.

I joined PIBA due to my love for animals and providing care for those in need. Along with being CFO, I have volunteered at most PIBA events and have also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and Paint Your Heart Out Tampa.

Zul Perez

Director of Animal Operations - Tampa Bay

My name is Zulmarie Perez and I am the Director of Animal Operations in Tampa Bay. My passion for animals started at a young age with my very first job being mucking stalls and prepping horsing for classes to pay for my horseback riding lessons at the age of 9. I continued from there with all kinds of work: Alligator handler at a sanctuary, vet assistant, manager of a pet store, & rescue work. I enjoy educating people on animals and pet nutrition so they have the information needed to provide their fur babies the best life possible.

I started with The PIBA foundation in early 2020 and have been welcomed with open arms and now am the Saint Petersburg, Florida Representative. My favorite part of rescue is dog rehabilitation. There’s nothing like building a bond with a dog, watching them flourish, and go to a new home a happy confident dog. I’m with the PIBA foundation for the long haul and hope to meet you at one of our events or even a meet-and-greet for one of our pups!
