Our adoptable dogs and cats come from a variety of places and situations. We aim to rescue dogs and cats from euthanasia at high kill shelters, non-ideal homes through owner surrender (as a last resort ), and during disaster relief situations.

All dogs will have veterinary care before they are adopted out. This includes required shots, deworming, spay/neuter, and microchip.

Community Engagement

We understand the importance of engaging and building relationships with our community. Through engagement, we can find opportunities that align with our mission, and most importantly, make our community a better place to live. We pursue projects that strive for the well-being of people and animals.

Disaster Relief

Through the support and help of individuals, local businesses, and non-profits, we collect supplies to distribute to people and their animals affected by a disaster. Once at the affected area, our team of volunteers search and rescue misplaced animals, and distribute supplies to local distribution sites and individuals who are unable to leave their homes.

Foster parents play a critical role at The PIBA Foundation. We do not have a centralized shelter and rely on foster families to provide temporary care and housing to the animals we rescue until they are adopted. With your help, we are reducing the risk of euthanasia and overcrowding at the shelters. You are giving an animal in need a second chance in life. You can find more information on our foster program here.

We understand that people go through difficult, and at times unexpected hardship. We work with the homeless shelters, local food banks, and partner with other non-profit organizations to provide assistance to those experiencing homelessness. Our dedicated volunteers are in the community building relationships with those experiencing homelessness and identify their pet's needs. Through your donations, we provide assistance with veterinary care, offer monthly supply of food for their pets, and any other assistance that may be necessary.

Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful

We have partnered with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful and adopted a road! Through this partnership, we give back to our community through litter prevention and removal. Our road is a mile long, located right in the heart of Ybor, on E 7th Ave. starting at N Nebraska Ave and ending on N 22nd St.
